Process

Week 7

For the following week, we all just refine all the designs deliverables that we have. Social media posts, reels, videos, flyers, and promotional stuff.

Before going through that I will display the brand identity things that we came up.

Figure 1.1 Brand Identity Draft

We figure the orange color is to dull, so we change it abit to be more brighter.

Figure 1.2 Change of brand color

Next, let's talk about the deliverables design!
First we are doing the Instagram feed posts. Based on the previous idea drafts we filter and refine some of those ideas and designed it to be more simpler and using our brand color!

Figure 1.3 Draft Idea #1

Figure1.4 Draft Idea #2
Figure 1.5 Draft Idea #3

We took from that draft ideas and created the new and refined one. For the first post, we are making a teaser to the mascot of our brand. Also includes the K icon symbol at top of the mascot, also to tease the logo of the brand (since we planned it to be the first post)!

Figure 1.6 Mascot Teaser

The next post design is "Meet the Team" post for introducing the team for this brand. The cover design features a leave pictures to reflect the eco-friendly brand value that they try to deliver. Along that we also feature the full logo wordmark.

Figure 1.7 Meet the team cover post

Introducing the product is an important aspect to the brand, since they are introducing a new idea of food product. So inserting photographs to the posts is crucial, so customers can understand and see what is the product. Don't forget, we add the K icon to give a consistency to the whole instagram posting.

Figure 1.8 Keto Canai Image

In the carousel or next slide from Keto Canai post we will insert a series of information of the benefits of keto diet. This will help the potential customer or customer to understand what can Keto-Diet do good/benefit to your body. More reason to purchase the product! We use the graphical elements as a pattern background. As well as adding the K icon to the post.

Figure 1.9 Benefits of Keto Diet

A teaser for the post to make it interesting, we include a copywrite, "Things are about to get healthier" and includes a K icon placed at the word healthier, indicating our brand is healthy!

Figure 1.10 Things are about to get healthier

Next design is the idea from our previous draft design, A creative and unique way to promote the product. Using the copywrite that we have "Turn on your healthy lifestyle!". The interesting part is to use roti canai as the turn on toggle in the design, incorporating our product and the catchphrase. We include the whole logo wordmark as the background.

Figure 1.11 Turn On your healthy lifestyle!

Continuing to the next post design is a photograph based post. Building trust and reliability with a photograph of the process of making the product. Using a catchphrase of "Zero Worries, Zero Regrets", placing the K on top of the word regrets.

Figure 1.12 Zero Worries, Zero Regrets

Next, is an interesting post of animation. We use the previous copywrite idea from the draft but change the graphics. Based on the copywrite "Keto's the way, all day", we came up the idea of traffic sign! And then to depicts the idea of "all day" we illustrate it with an animation of the arow moving in a clockwise 360 degree.

Video 1.1 Video Version

A simple design of an alert pop-up, saying "Keto Roti Canai can cure your craving in a healthier way!"

Figure 1.14 Alert design

This next design is based on the previous draft idea, a fuel meter. In the middle of the fuel meter is a picture of the roti canai, representing the product. We designed the arrow pointing to full to indicate our brand product can fuel the customer.

Figure 1.15 Fuel Meter Design

Next is the instagram stories design!
First idea is a "Keto Bingo!", This can be interactive and also a small marketing technique for the customer to play this game and post it in their own instagram story so other potential customer can see this post, intrigued their interest and probably check-out the brand's intagram page!

Figure 1.16 Keto Bingo Story Post

Next idea for the story is a simple slogan, "No more food waste here!". Combining our graphical elements, the k icon as well as the brand color.

Video 1.2 A meeting with TBS to catch up with the design

We show them our designs and also hear their ideas and feedbacks on the design.

Week 8 (ILW)

While we are on an independent learning week, the business school asked us to complete a mockup packaging design for them to do an initial research on their product. These are the previous draft designs we made.

We proceed to make the packaging design, Try to change the packaging to orange packaging as per requested by the TBS group.

Figure 2.8 Draft Packaging #6 ver.1

Trying to include all the information while adhering the simple and illustrative packaging. Placing the mascot in strategic position to make it fun and cute. Also don't forget to add some important points for a packaging, such as expired date, product name, and vocal points that they want to emphasize to potential customers.

Figure 2.9 Draft Packaging #6 ver.2

They sent us some pics of the product packaging and the product pre-survey. They did 20 boxes for this survey. So they printed the packaging and cut it on their own.

Figure 2.10 The Product inside the packaging

Initially when I see the packaging is the color is a little bit off from what we see from the screen. Often colors in screen can be a little different printed. This packaging color is leaning towards yellowish, which we did not intended to go for that color in the beginning.

Figure 2.11 Test Packaging for research

Figure 2.13 Test Packaging

Also we decided to make some reels video for our instagram. It is mostly using graphic illustrations!

Video 2.1 How to Prepare Video

We also got some pictures and videos from the TBS to make the Behind The Scene instagram reels.

Video 2.2 Behind The Scene Video

Hadiya also made her version of the packaging design. This design is also following some of the feedbacks from the test survey.

Week 9

Some other deliverables that we need to make for the TBS is flyer for their Innofest. Angel did some designs for them using our brand colors and mascot.

Figure 3.1 Flyer Design #1

Figure 3.2 Flyer Design #2

Figure 3.3 Flyer Design #3

Figure 3.4 Flyer Design #4

Next is we also make some other story posts for instagram. This design in particular just a reminder that something new will come, and alerting other people that new product will be launched and get potential customer know the upcoming launch and get people excited.

Figure 3.5 Story Post design

Figure 3.6 Story Post design

This next design is just informing the product line of our brand and provide a photograph of the product to build the trust for the potential customers.

Figure 3.7 Story Post design

An introduction for the brand is also necessary, especially the whole idea and basis of the brand, so we need to have a design for that, Introducing the concept of Keto-diet is the way to go, cause many people might not know understand about it, even most of my teammate initially does not understand the concept of Keto-diet.

We use the brand color and also the K icon!

Brand guideline
- Very clear brand guideline

Social Media
- Layout is consistent
- Try to keep the symbol 'K' consistent (keep it in a circle)
- Keto Bingo: suggestion to add the logo to solidify the brand identity

Packaging
- Brand logo is utilized well
- Colour choice shows sustainability (recyclable)
- Test the pastel orange and try out different colours for TBS to choose

Flyer
- Use the mascot
- Try not to hide any features bc no one knows him
- Graphics are a little different from brand guideline

Extra stuff
- Utilize the mascot more
- Don't kill yourself

Week 8 (ILW)

Week 9

Packaging
- The brown packaging shows that it's sustainable and matches your colour palette
- Transferring to the new strip is not much problem since content is still the same
- The size of strip (newly updated) is still a comfortable width, can be used
- Remove the pumpkin photography so there will be more space
- Add the mascot somewhere

Social Media Posts
- The K logo sometimes is distracting since the overlapping drop shadow (a bit repetitive)
- The content and colour is consistent
- The wheat post might have to make it more dynamic (find other ways to play with it), currently look too much like a badge

Flyers
- The green is the better option
- The layout at the bottom left looks better

- The tone of voice is consistent
- Too much information
- Might not need to animate ALL the text (especially at the parts that has video)
- The transition between the things are about to get sustainable, just jump to the healthier cleaner part (get rid of the packaging section)
- Mixed feelings about zero worries, zero regrets
- Do not to pan out to the posters
- Proudly serve -> show product -> Kita Keto
- Can give QR code or socials in the end

REFLECTION

Although it has been hard to navigate in a group, with some dysfunctional teamwork. I think we slowly manage to do the work on time.

In addition, we need to collaborate with the Business School team. Where we will receive information about the product and what the direction they would want with the branding. So not only we need to consult with Ms.Lilian, we also need to consult with the TBS team.
