1. Contextual Research
Each of us did a research on our brand. There are guide questions that were provided in the Miro board. We divided the task between us in each point of the questions. I divide them into 5 so it easy for us 5 do different research to reach a big scope of insights from the internet.
We divide the research topics into:
- Trends (industry, culture, and fashion) and News
- Global Market research and analysis
- Competitor research and analysis
- Technological Innovation
PERSONA
We then proceeded to make the persona after we did a quick meeting with our client as well as seeing our brand product.
We made 5 personas for this brand it includes all the possibilities and diverse group of people that based on our research would need our product. A mom, a fashionista, a cosplayer, a bride and an athlete. So again, we assigned each person do one persona in Xtensio, following their tempelate.
After reviewing, in the end we extract and narrow it down to 3 persona which are Fashionista, performers, influencers, and celebrities in one category; then brides; and lastly athletes (marathon runners).
We make a percentage of 70% influencers/ celebrities/ performers/ fashionista, 20% brides, and 10% athletes (long distance runners i.e. marathon)
DATA COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS
We designed some survey questions inside a google doc. Design 3 different survey questions to our 3 different personas!
Then we start to plan spreading out the survey questions. It is quite hard to gain respondents as we are targeting the specific persona that may have used or heard of our product. We divide the task between our group members to spread the survey question.
Thankfully by the deadline we manage to find almost 100 respondents, 96 people to be exact. We then proceed to laying out the results, and compare the consensus between different persona.
REFINEMENT ON IDEAS
The next step to formulate the top 5 ideas and refine it into key themes as well as insight statements that will be used to formulate problem statement.
Although we struggled and went to the wrong direction we quickly got back and revise our ideas.
From that key themes we formulate our insights using our data from the survey.
FORMING THE BRAND FOUNDATION
Then we form our Big Idea, Positioning statement and Brand value.
ART DIRECTION
For art direction we collected from all of our teammates idea and combine it into one idea in a meeting discussion. We went for a more soft and elegant approach on the branding. :D

Honestly my group got struck and discouraged when our art direction got rejected and it held us back in the process.
